Scary Dark Become Art Of Body Painting

I'm a mechanic. I love the physical and metaphysical mechanics of things, especially how they interlink. That's why my business is named "The Energetic Connection," and why my work is all about the tapestry of energy and physiology, body as a vessel for spirit, and spirit moving like a mist into our Earthly anchors.

It's also why I feel so strongly about the idea that growth only happens with consciousness. In our bodies, that means brain, a heart that pumps blood, and mind coupled with knowingness and divine connection. Recent brain research tells us that our neo-cortex or upper brain, and our mid-brain or super consciousness is not always connected or integrated.

This is where self-mastery, awareness of our awareness and energy linked to physiology come into play. We can pretend that the Universe will simply give us the information or experiences we desire, or even blame God for our plight in life. We can allow the wind to blow us wherever and say that it was the will of God or that we surrendered to a higher power. I say that's a lie.

The truth is, we must have a say in what we create or we are at best irresponsible; at least apathetic; at worst unconscious or even dead.

And this is why I am so concerned with choice and actualization, clearing out old stagnant energies to make room for our Divinity. In essence, we need to empty ourselves of the emotional and mental dross to make room for our "real" knowingness and brilliance...our essential entitlement. And for that we need some tools and some systems, then we can put it all into conscious motion.

It's a lot like restoring an old house or applying a fesh coat of paint to an old wall. First we need to prep the surface for its new finish, yet without the proper tools, all we can do is look at it and imagine. One day down the road we may not have to work this hard to put up a new wall; for now though, until we become expert manifesters, we need to use a little elbow grease. Honestly, I will always be one to encourage the use of our physical hands in these instances. We were built to use our hands to make things, to create incredible works of art, music and poetry; to serve, touch and heal ourselves.

There are so many other ways to manifest miracles in these bodies; we don't need to pull rabbits out of hats or grow money trees, showing off our tricks and magic. We need to expose our hearts and expand our minds, opening our bodies to anchor our spirits and give juice to our soul's mission and life's work.

Take the leap from prepping and painting a wall to observing and emptying the container; seeing what comes out is one of the first steps to attaining enlightenment. After we experience intolerance of others' behaviors, becoming aware of our own behaviors, complexes, reactions and projections are some of the first layers of paint. This level of observation is true awareness and breeds new awarenesses which lead to an experience of emptiness, if only for the moment.

Now we can say we've come out of denial for that particular event.

We actually need to make it a regular practice so our container readily, and kind of automatically, clears itself out. That way we can feel some level of relative emptiness and go even deeper the next time. If we don't sand off the top layer of paint there's no way we will ever find the next, much less the natural beauty of the wood underneath.

When this daily practice becomes a regular habit, it becomes a system that will help us continually scrape away old patterns. We can almost effortlessly empty ourselves of each situation as it arises and eventually we start to see what lies underneath, and so it goes.

Here we discover the next level of awareness and then we can begin to acknowledge, embrace and release the stagnancy. Soon our systematic releases include not only what's happening in the moment, yet also what lies beneath; our scraping muscles become stronger, more readily available.

It's usually the stuff in the middle, between unconsciousness and full consciousness that scares us and often gives us a good excuse to go out through the backdoor. Our fingernails break, our hands get sore and our arms tire when we encounter a particularly gooey or thick layer of paint.

We might even lose friends in the process because we stink up our lives and change in unknown ways. Even when it becomes really lonely, just keep scraping; you'll build up muscles you never knew you had and your emptiness will call in new friends. Remember to get the proper tools first and take a shower each day.

As with all good fables and parables, this one not only has a good ending, it has several layers of understanding. Once you begin to peel away the old paint, you will understand it all in a new way.

Emptiness is not loneliness. It is sacred space awaiting your recognition of the Divine inside you.

Since the early Neanderthals scratched out the Bison on the moist caves of Eastern France, Graffiti and Street Art have remained a very raw form of expressive Fine Art, which have shunned all class barriers and have emerged as a separate thread of work. Graffiti is derived from the Italian root meaning, "scratched out." Technically, to narrow down its scope would be to define it as a surface art on the surfaces it is "not meant" to be displayed. For example, you would not define a ramshackle wall, or a car, or a window as a canvas to any artist worth his/her salt. For Graffiti Artists however, that would be a perfectly normal platform to present their body of work.

Graffiti & Street Art so boldly lie on the border of vandalism and art that it is difficult to eulogize them without feeling a bit like singing Paeans to LSD or Morphine. However Graffiti and Street Art, even though pursued doggedly by law and order have steadily metamorphosed into an important mouthpiece of rebel expression. Simply put, Graffiti and Street Arts are art pieces by artists with no inclination or the wherewithal to resort to the conventional forms of display, who though are bubbling with a strong urge to express themselves.

The profiles of Graffiti and Street Art closely follow an underground, anti-law route because of the angst they carry. They are art forms, usually generated in ghettos and tough neighborhoods, where there are few rules and therefore explosive creativity. Graffiti Artists are people, seething inside to stamp their territory, on walls, buildings, bridges, and yeah toilets too.

Graffiti and Street Art took a long time to come out of the ghettos, and be recognized as art. Although they are omnipresent phenomena, Graffiti and Street Art came onto the forefront only towards the development of the Hippie Culture in 70's. This was a time when people broke out of conditioning to see Graffiti & Street Art as art. The first opening of Graffiti was at Rome by Fab5 Freddy and soon other artists flooded the New York, London, and Paris art scenes.

Graffiti Artists are most often, nameless personas who treat art as a hit and run (often from the police and anti-graffiti squads). The process of claiming a patch of property (a wall, a car, a piece of tin, rooftops, and so on) is called "tagging" and it is a cross between turf war and creativity. Often gang wars have erupted on claims to turf. This is also, where Graffiti and Street Art connect with rap as an underground culture, which is always at odds with the civilized society. However, this edginess is what has given this art form a spontaneity that "designer" arts lack. The nervous energy is almost visible in the stark graphics and bold designs that spring out from the most unlikely of spaces. It is difficult not to appreciate this "vandalism" art form despite the gore and anger it carries.

Apart from the aesthetics of art, this art form is a visual documentation of grassroots societies, especially in western and Japanese sub cultures. Since Graffiti and Street Art are more a form of youth rebel art, the message that they seek to convey is at once in your face and subtle. There are subtexts that can be read from these Graffiti and Street Arts. For example, Graffiti Arts in Roman times is an important source of the study of society at that time (there is a Graffiti Art on the crucifixation of Jesus found in ancient Roman ruins).

However, with the lateral movement of Graffiti and Street Art into living rooms and art galleries, owing to avant-garde artistes, indicates that they have been accepted at large but the doubts remain. For example, Michael Fay stays hung between being labeled a criminal and an artiste in Singapore when he defaced a car. Whatever be the motive and the background of the creators of Graffiti and Street Art, it is undoubtedly an expression of passion, which finds many patrons.

I do not hear - I listen. I awaken; so does the universe, because no such thing as the sound of only one hand clapping exists; all things arise in mutual relationship. Living in a world of quiet harmony and peaceful equanimity, I often find myself in the living room of my apartment overlooking Laurel Canyon shortly after the Los Angeles sun rises through a haze of smog and fumes. I sit in a half-lotus position on a blue mat, dressed loosely in yoga whites. This morning kicks-off with ten repetitions of Pranayama breathing. Inhaling beautiful, golden-white energy deep into my lungs slowly, slowly, ... I hold and release. The movement is precise; my chin drops into a center cleft between the clavicle bones while mastoid muscles on both sides of my neck melt into the upper trapezoids, and I have mastered expanding the floating ribs without raising or tightening my shoulders. Upon its release, I hold my breath, bottoming out before inhaling again.

A few feet away sits a plastic bottle of mineral water. The clear liquid is purity inspected, fortified using thirty-six essential minerals and vitamins and contains "green tea;" that's New Age yoga-speak for caffeine - enough G-force raging through the circulatory system keeps one buzzing and meditating for seven days and nights, eyeballs plastered against the wall, hair follicles standing on end - but not mine. After thirty years of koan, meditation, and green tea, well, green tea is murder on hair. I might drink coffee or soda pop or eat a sugar donut, however, I am a knowledgeable shaman, a disciplined yogi if you like - the vehicle is pure and I don't wish to risk feeding baser instincts. The mineral water is called Yo-Go! It awakens this shaman, ears popping, and focuses the senses on such koan as One Hand Clapping, and I also find it useful for cleaning tough lime deposits off shower walls.

"Help, somebody! Help in three-ten!"

After holding each inhalation and exhalation for an extended length of time and polishing off a bottle of Yo-Go!, I channel my spirit guides. Our business together is esoteric, very spiritual. My special field of Eastern practice is subtle energy healing and we are in the process of saving the world. I am in the process of knocking back my second bottle of Yo-Go! and my consciousness is expanding nicely. It is divine in the midst of the mundane. I now contain enough New Age rocket fuel coursing through my vascular system to blast-off for yet unexplored dimensions. I feel the urge to leap up and rip - gracefully - into my first of a series of eighteen asanas (yoga postures).

Momentarily I rise from the mat, yawn, and step to my window overlooking a private courtyard of lush, overgrown banana palms, and next to those a row of potted plants burgeoning under the shade of the palms' rubbery leaves. The sun begins its daily arc from east to west. All is right with the world and I smile to myself ... "Help in-" and slam the window.

This happens: only a muffled noise, a desperate plea in the distance of an otherwise beautiful universe. Taking it to the blue mat, I assume a Mountain posture, standing feet together, buttocks tightly protecting the sacral nerve center, hands at my sides, shoulders back and relaxed with my stomach just a touch forward. This places the center of gravity over my hips. I am organic - growing out of God's aspect called the earth, a piece of the planet. I am a mountain. The Sanskrit word for mountain is tada. I repeat the word, tada, several times. However, bursting full of Yo-Go!, purity inspected, and fortified using thirty-six essential minerals and vitamins, and containing green tea, the word escapes more like a preparatory drum roll - tuh duh! - and I feel my feet will fly into a crotch grabbing, Michael Jackson dance.

Immediately I jump to the Extended Triangle posture: feet spread, arms outstretched like airplane wings and I am now bending to my right until the hand on the end of my straight right arm rests behind my heel. My left arm is reaching above my head and I stare at it. I must meet the position, that is, maintain the position until yoga and I are one. 'Yoga' means 'to unite'. Nothing exists - no thing exists. The universe is empty of 'selfness' - 'thingness'. In a void of dynamic change filled only with relationship, momentary position is everything - I do not look - I see the Great Void, through which Brahman creates itself as numerous aspects of mundane fingers pointing to the divine. Existence is transcendently integrated because each aspect transcends itself to become the whole, and the whole's virtue to become itself is present in each aspect. In the end, the mundane and the divine are one.

The body of the painting shows 'Still Life' with the three key objects of the title, The Curtain, Jug, and Compotier. "Rideau, Cruchon et Compotier" depicts these simple everyday objects in a decorative manner, while giving it a 'Realistic' perspective all along. The special feature of the painting is its unique brushstrokes and harmonious color schemes. At the first glance, the colors look inspired by those of Mother Nature, when they actually are blended with Paul's creative dash of hued fantasies. This painting corroborates the artist's subtle observation skill and his sensuous taste of color blending.

Ambroise Vollard, a dealer from Paris, possessed the painting initially. Later, it cruised through Cornelis Hoogendijk, Paul Rosenberg, Dr Albert C. Barnes, and the Carroll Carstairs Gallery. "Rideau, Cruchon et Compotier" then was sold at a record price, during the auction of Whitney family collection. It further stayed with many other art lovers. This priceless piece was eventually sold as the most expensive painting at Sotheby's, one of the oldest auction houses in New York, on May 10, 1999, for $60,502,500.

Paul Cezanne's keen observations combined with his inspiration from nature, led to the generation of fantastic artworks. Throughout his life, he remained a devoted Roman Catholic. In his own words, "When I judge art, I take my painting and put it next to a God-made object like a tree or flower. If it clashes, it is not art."

Even after several years of his death, Paul Cezanne is honored as a tremendous milestone in the world of creativity, and he continues to rule every art lover's heart. He is still alive in the form of his precious painting, "Rideau, Cruchon et Compotier," a definite bright star in the sky of 'Modern Painting.'

People are out to buy a piece of art to increase the aesthetic value of their living room. Art is not just a piece of furniture you go out and buy. It is a piece of soul the artist presents in the form of art. We get to see many paintings nowadays in galleries and internet and we just browse over it. Understanding art has never occurred in the minds of middle class people. A new genre of artists are emerging who want the masses to understand and appreciate art.

Here comes the need for understanding art. Landscapes can be easily understood on observation of painting however the deep feeling and motivation to create this piece must also be gone into. A common man does not understand why the artist has blue figures or distorted body images which are far away from reality and sometimes very confusing. Every artist represents his thoughts and experiences in the form of art and one can understand the background and attitude of the artist. Still life sometimes are so confusing that a simple person does not understand why broken pots are made into a piece of art, and to add here, displayed at exorbitant prices. The most difficult to understand is abstract art. Splash of colours, lines or sometimes just black and white huge paintings are seen which becomes all the more difficult for common man to understand who lays importance on clear bright images as seen in reality and nature.

Does a piece become art when made by a famous artist? There is no simple answer to this. Art is represented in free form of expression and every artist is free to express. The artist owns his piece of work and is proud of it. Awareness is needed regarding art and as other fields this field also needs educating the masses about the aesthetics of art. Simple art would be most welcome by the common man. Nature is already very beautiful and we cannot make a better one so why not make simple art which everyone can understand.

Animal Body painting Design

Animal Body painting Design

We may safely trace the proliferation of the religious cult of animals, magical ritual zoosexuality and religious zoophilia, with its expression of animal form portraiture of deity to the Paleolithic animal fertility cult. In the Paleolithic period of prehistory, prior to the rise of Neolithic agricultural societies, the survival of man, in his hunting and gathering cultures, depended heavily on the life of animals he hunted for food. This explains man's early exaggerated concern with the ecological issues of sustainability of animal life, which he expressed in the elaboration of magical-religious culture by which he sought supernatural means of mastery of animal life and fertility. The flourishing of the animal fertility cult in Paleolithic prehistory gives evidence of the incidence of significantly prolonged periods of drought and relative scarcity of game in the Mediterranean plains.

The famous Paleolithic paintings of the half-human, half-animal self-portraiture of the shaman-artist in Paleolithic murals point to early religious-mystical identification of the shaman with the life-essence of animals he sought to master by magical art. The spirit-Ego of the shaman which contemplated the "platonic" essence of animals was thought of as spiritual presence in the material forms of the animal the hunter encountered in the fields, and which the shaman-artist contemplated magically in his cave temple. Thus, the shaman "Master of Animals" was also the "Protector of Animals," in hunting cultures. Traditional hunters, therefore, do not kill animals indiscriminately or with impunity out of respect for the indwelling spirit-Ego of the shaman-protector of the species. The Bushman who killed an animal for food would offer a prayer making an apology to the "spirit" of the animal, assuring the "spirit" that he killed the animal only because he needed the meat for food.

The magical-ritual practice of zoosexuality and bestiality is closely connected in its origin with the practice of mother-son incestuous ritual in the animal fertility cult. The universal religious-mystical dualism(i.e. body-spirit dualism) found sexual metaphoric representation not only in mother-son sexuality but also in shaman-animal sexuality.

The psychoanalytic basis of the symbolic association of the animal with The Mother in mystical dualistic thought is well recognized. Infantile fear, especially of large animals(like the cow) is identified by Otto Rank as symbolic disposition of repressed birth trauma anxiety(the large animal becomes a symbol of the gravid mother). The psychoanalytic hypothesis is confirmed in the universal association of The Mother, in traditional religious zoophilia, with large animals. Thus, among the Ancient Egyptians, the Great Mother deity Apet was identified with the hippopotamus as Taweret, the "mighty one(a symbol of the maternal Cosmic-All). She was the goddess of maternity and the mother of the gods. In Paleolithic art, the Great Mother was always represented as a grotesquely steatopygous woman. The dying and resurrecting fertility deity Osiris, at Thebes, as well as the moon deity Ah, were regarded as the sons of the hippopotamus. Osiris also was a moon spirit. The moon symbolized the male principle born out of the engulfing cosmic darkness of the All-Mother(represented by the hippopotamus). The womb associations here are obvious: In the beginning, the cosmos was a vast expanse of dark water and the Great Mother was the deep itself. Her first born was the moon-child.

The indication of close association of mother-son sexuality with zoosexuality (by substitution of The Mother with the large animal) is shown in Hesoid's Theogony in which the half-woman, half-animal sphinx is said to have originated from the sexual union of Echidna, dwelling in the subterranean cave of Arimi, with her son(a plain association of incestuous ritual with zoosexuality in the animal fertility cult). In the famous story of Daedalus and his son Icarus, the queen Persiphae of Crete wishing to experience sexual intercourse with a bull forced Daedalus to design a wooden cow for her to hide in and offer herself to the bull. She gave birth to a half-man, half-beast Minotaur(another reference to zoosexual ritual practices in the subterranean animal fertility cult).

The widespread traditions of religious zoophilia provide evidence of the conceptual metamorphosis in the animal fertility cult which, in dualistic terms, came to identify The Mother with the grosser material aspects of life in the body-spirit dualism, and thus extended magical incestuous sexual ritual, in identification of animal with mother, to the frank perversion of zoosexuality in the animal fertility cult. The identification of Mother with Animal is shown further in the half-animal, half-human figure of the mythical sphinx in Greek tradition. In the famous Terra cotta relief of Tenos, the sphinx is represented as female and goddess of death alighting in a dominant sexual posture on a young male. The vagina dentata ("dangerous vagina with teeth") signification of the female animal figure is shown in its use as vase for aphrodisiac ointments in Greek culture.

In spirit possession cults the female is identified in animal terms as "horse" (Portuguese: "Cavalo"; Yoruba: "Esin"). Fuhrman refers to Peruvian representations of parturition in which a human(male)body grows out of a maternal-animal body with the animal showing strongly curved belly indicating the rest of the human body within.

We find clear evidence of the evolutionary process of thought in which mother-son incestuous sexuality is re-interpreted in zoosexual terms: the mother figure being symbolically substituted with an animal figure and the entire complex of mother-animal association extended in to dualistic body-spirit religious thought systems. Thus, in early historic times, we find a bewildering proliferation of animal form representation of gods, especially in Ancient Egypt(which, as we have shown, have their roots in the Paleolithic-Neolithic animal fertility cult and religion): Thoth-Ibis, Apis bull, Anubis-Jackal, Bastet-cat, Wadjet-snake, sokar-Hawk, Seth-Pig, Sekhmet-lioness...

There is however, one event that unites the family, and that is face painting. Children love getting their faces painted, and parents readily whip out their cameras delightfully snapping pictures of their loved ones under the coats of paints. There is endless joy in face painting because of the creativity involved and the kids often picked different face painting pictures depending on various phases of their growing stage.

Be it a Children's birthday party, a school carnival or a community event, the face painting booth, if any, will almost always be the hottest favorite. I often find long queues forming in such face painting booths as Children wait eagerly to have their faces and even parts of their bodies painted. They will talk with other kids about their favorite face designs and the color that would go with it. Needless to say, most boys prefer animals like Tiger and Dinosaur, or Super heroes such as Spiderman and Batman, while the girls love the butterflies and flowers.

Alright, we know the clown, the cat and the cupcakes are all-time favorites. Where do you get more inspiration of interesting face painting examples? There are really endless sources if you keep your mind constantly active for new ideas. Personally, I like the Children's art books or story books best. This is because kids relate best when they see something they are familiar with and it often strike a chord immediately.

For the same reason, I like to watch cartoon movies with my kids. When the latest cartoon movie hits the cinemas, it is almost like a family routine that we would go watch it together. Instantly, a new conversation topic arise within the family and my kids and I often talk about it weeks after the movie treat. If I know I will be engaged in a face painting session in that season, I will take some time to download some great pictures from the movie's website and practice painting on some pictures with a slice of creativity of my own and create a template of it for my next painting session.

Did you ever want to be a cowboy? Maybe a rain forests? What about trading your skin in to become a seductive tigress ready to pounce on fresh meat? Well, whatever your adult fantasy may be, adult body painting may be the temporary and fun solution.

Though this art form has been around for centuries, many people haven't tuned-in to this creative outlet. Some people claim that body painting is actually the oldest art form (Considering that people were painting their bodies pre-anno domini. Just think of early century Egyptians). And, with adult body painting companies and artist all around the globe, one would probably have little difficulty finding an artist close by.

Adult body painting is an art that uniquely transforms your everyday skin into a beautiful picturesque scene or life form. How? Glad you asked. By using safe, FDA approved make-up, oils, and other various paints and applying it directly to your skin. Any part of your skin. Oh yes, that's right, any part. Body painting artists are extremely professional and willing to cover any part of your body that you so desire, from head to toe. Or, if you can't make your mind up on which body part to paint, you can have your entire body brushed with a plethora of colors that completely disguises the real you underneath. Unless, of course, you really are Smokey the Bear. Which can be done. By method of airbrushing, painting, and drawing, your body can soon be entirely transformed into your fantasy.

Depending on the piece of art you choose, the process can take from a few minutes to a few hours. The Hanging Gardens weren't grown in fifteen minutes and either is the mastery of adult body painting when given the task of turning you into a fire-breathing dragon. Which can also be done.

However, don't misunderstand. Not all body painting means having to get nude. In fact, any small portion of your skin can be painted into a beautiful piece. For instance, many people who want to see what a tattoo would look like on the arm, hand, foot, shoulder, neck, or elsewhere often choose to have their body painted first to make sure they will like it for the rest of their lives. Others just appreciate the art and have paintings done on parts of their body for display or to be kept private. Whatever the case may be, there really is not a limit to what a person can have painted on their body. A butterfly or the Sears Tower, or anything in between.

But many people are willing to go through the pain to get the art on their body.

Painting is a simple technique in which special paint is used to color the body. Drawings of many things like butterflies, lizards and other things can be found on people's bodies. The interesting thing is that these paintings portray the creativity and thoughts of people. People put paint on their body when they are cheering for their teams. Also in some cultures painting the face is a ritual like the kadakali makeup is a type of art. Piercing is also considered a type of body art. Piercing is done by puncturing the part of human body and wearing jewelry. Although this process is painful but many people opt for this kind of body art. Also piercing is done in many cultures as part of ritual especially in India.

Another form of art on body is scarring which is also a painful process. It is rarely found and is considered as a ritual. Many people have tattoo on their bodies. There are two kinds of tattoos which include the permanent and temporary tattooing. The process of tattooing involves the insertion of ink into the dermis of the skin. There are special equipments used for this purpose and it is also painful. Amazing Hand Body Painting

Amazing Hand Body Painting

During the 1st World War two American soldiers called Don and Bob were injured simultaneously. Both of them were fast friends. Don died immediately but Bob recovered after he was treated by competent doctors. The problem was that when Bob became fit and healthy a great change was noted in his attitude and behavioral pattern. Bob hence forth behaved exactly like his beloved dead friend Don. In fact Bob called himself "Don". After the war ended, Bob left for Don's home instead of his own residence. There Bob met Don's parents and he experienced that very joy which Don previously experienced.

Despite Bob's psyche and behavior being exactly like that of Don yet Bob's gross physical body was not like Don at all. Meaning Bob's body was entirely his own. Don's parents refused to accept Bob as their son. This made "Don" in Bob's psyche/soul sad and sorrowful. Hence Bob recounted past incidences of Don's life which were known only to Don and his parents. Thus Don's parents were convinced that although Bob was physically different from their son Don yet Bob's soul and psyche perfectly matched those of Don. It was clear that Don's soul had taken over Bob's psyche. This incident now posed a great challenge to Modern Science especially Psychology.

A very similar amazing incident took place in Spain. One day 2 girls were traveling together in one bus. One was called Hala and the other Mirtgol. After some time the bus got involved in a road accident. Mirtgol died immediately in this mishap. Although Hala was not injured yet out of sheer fright she became unconscious. She regained consciousness after a few hours. The relatives of both these girls were informed about this bus accident. Relatives of both these girls reached the accident site. Hala's father ran towards his daughter crying aloud: Dear Hala! But he was amazed to hear Hala saying: I am not Hala. I am Mirtgol! Saying thus Hala ran towards Mirtgol's father. When her relatives felt that Hala was experiencing a memory loss situation they placed a mirror in front of her face. Instead of her delusion ending Hala exclaimed: Why has Mirtgol's face changed (into that of Hala)? Hala's father was a humble farmer. Hence Hala was not very highly educated. Mirtgol's father was a well known Professor. Mirtgol was a college student and was well versed in many subjects.

Hala's father some how managed to take Hala back to their residence. Hala went back to study in that high school where she was studying so far. Over there all her co-students and teachers were amazed to see a great change in Hala's behavior and attitude. One day Hala went to the college where Mirtgol studied when the latter was alive. There Hala gave a scholarly lecture on Spinozoa's scientific teachings to a class of college students. All the college teachers now concluded that it was Mirtgol's soul that had manifested in Hala's physical body. Certain experiments too were conducted on Hala's behavior and psyche pattern and they too gave the above conclusion.

The world famous painter Goya's soul entered the inner personality of a widow called Henroitte. This is a well known episode in America. In this new body of the widow Goya painted a masterpiece painting called "Cow-herd Maiden". On the other hand Henroitte had never in her life time painted even an ordinary painting. Hence forth American scientists accepted that Goya's soul indeed had entered Henroitte's body which explained the creation of such a marvelous painting!

This incident took place on 7th November 1918 during the 1st World War. A French boy called Ted shouted aloud one day saying: Dad is about to die. Ted's father was fighting this war for France in a far off region. Ted continued screaming: My father is shut in a dark cell. He cannot see anything because of darkness. Ted's relatives could not understand why he was shouting aloud thus. In a few seconds Ted became unconscious. After a certain length of time when Ted regained consciousness he said: Now my father will become alright. Ted's family members at that time presumed that whatever Ted spoke before and after becoming unconscious about his father was a bad dream seen by Ted. Thus they all went about their chores and forgot about this incident.

After the 1st World War ended and Ted's father returned home he remembered that incident related above. Ted's father said tat on 6th November I escaped the jaws of death. Everyone asked Ted's father as to why and how he escaped death? Ted's father replied: On that fateful day I entered a chamber of deadly gas fumes. Thus my life was in great peril. My vision too became so weak that I could virtually see nothing. At that time a boy similar to my son Ted came near me. Of course it's a wonder how he could come there in the midst of a raging war! He opened the door of the gas chamber and after holding my hand he helped me escape from the chamber. Immediately my army unit soldiers realized what had happened and they took me to a nearby hospital. While Ted's father spoke thus Ted's family members immediately understood why Ted who was miles away from the war front had cried and shouted aloud thus on that day in his home.

A similar incident took place in the life of an Italian priest called Alphonsis Ligadari on 21st November 1974. On that eventful day Ligadari went into such a deep sleep state that despite others trying to wake him up he did not wake up. Many wondered whether he was dead. In order to test this they checked his breathing process, pulse etc and found that the priest was very much alive. For many hours he slept like a log. When he awakened he saw that he was surrounded by many well wishers and friends. Ligadari told all of them: I must share with you some very dire news. Our beloved Pope has just left this mortal world. Everyone said: You have been sleeping like a log for quite some time now, hence how do you know about revered Pope's death?

Ligadari said: I had left this body of mine and had traveled (astral body) to Rome. I have just returned from there. And yet his friends thought that Ligadari has just woken up from a dream and that he must have seen Pope dying in his dream only. After 4 days they got news that revered Pope had passed away. Further his death had occurred exactly at the time Ligadari was in deep-sleep like state. Thus everyone was dumbfounded and wonderstruck!

Despite an individual staying in one region of our planet Earth, he/she can send 'messages' to other parts of the world via his/her soul force (telepathy). In the examples given (above paragraphs) knowingly or unknowingly the subtle body was used as a medium of message transfer. If we activate our subtle body many important and otherwise impossible tasks can be carried out with its activated infinite divine power. In the year 1626 a similar incident took place in Algeria's Captain Tubo's life. It gives us an in depth proof of the existence of our subtle body and its infinite potential. Once, Captain Tubo was returning from a very small village of Algeria, after treating some ill patients there. The village chief Abdul accompanied Captain Tubo when the latter was returning.

After Abdul thanked Captain Tubo Abdul also told him about the miracles with reference to an awakened subtle body of a human being. Not only did the Captain ignore what Abdul said but also exclaimed that such miracles are mere fantasies of our mind. But Abdul refused to budge from his viewpoint and he told Captain Tubo that he could prove every thing about the existence of this miraculous subtle body. And yet when Capatain Tubo shook his head in disbelief Abdul entered a short meditative state and then said: Capatian! Look behind you. When the Capatain looked behind he saw in amazement that on a wall hung his most favorite painting. This painting was actually the one which the Capatain had lovingly adorned the walls of his residence in Paris i.e. miles away from this tiny Algerian village.

It is simply dumbfounding to note that on this very day Captain Tubo's father Pierre lodged a complaint with the Paris police saying that his son's precious painting valued at 1 million Rupees was stolen from their residence. The Police Commissioner was Pierre's close friend and hence when he got to know about this 'theft' he ordered his best Secret Service Agents to solve this robbery case. It goes without saying that none of them could recover the painting. These police officials checked for finger prints, foot marks etc of the robber or any such clue but amazingly none were found. Pierre then contacted his son Tubo in Algeria and told him about the painting's theft. When Tubo told his father and the Police Commissioner about the painting seen by him in far off Algeria everyone was dumbstruck.

If we deeply reflect and analyze the above incidents we can get due inspirations, directions and wisdom from them. Hence we can definitely conclude that beyond this visible physical human body lies a subtle body which cannot be seen by our gross eyesight. The fundamental unit of the gross body is 'protoplasm'. Hence what is the fundamental unit of our subtle body? This question needs to be meditated and analyzed deeply and yet it is the bare reality that within the gross body exists, an invisible subtle body. The existence of a subtle body is clearly mentioned in Indian Philosophy (Vedas, Upanishads, Yoga texts etc). Indian scriptures proclaim emphatically that the subtle body is infinitely more potent and miraculous than our gross body made of flesh, bones, blood etc. It is a fact that our gross body functions totally under the direction and power of the subtle body. If the subtle body leaves (at death) the gross body becomes lifeless and a mere corpse.

This subtle body is made up of powerful vital forces. There are 5 very potent vital forces and are represented by 5 demigods or Divine Principles. Our scriptures say that even if one demigod helps a human being attain immortality imagine what that person can attain both materially and spiritually if all 5 Divine Principles/demigods help/influence this human being subtly? The following incidents (next chapter) can give us a glimpse of the omnipotence of these 5 Divine Principles/demigods. With our gross sense organs and psyche we can never get its actual experience. It can only be attained by a psyche which is sacred and focused (concentrated one pointedly).

Body art is extremely popular all over the world and includes anything that consists of the human body. Some of the most popular types of body art are tattoos, and piercings but other types of body art involve air brushing, scarring, branding, scalpelling, shaping with corsets and lace and body painting. In addition, body art encompasses nose rings, dydos, bangles, rings, makeup, studs, nose pins, and lip plates. There are more extreme types of body art involving mutilation, or pushing the physical limits of the body. Marina Abramovic is a body artist and her exhibit involved her dancing until she collapsed from tiring out. Dennis Oppenheim is another example of a body artist where he suntanned until he burned while holding a book to his chest – thus he had an outline of the book on his chest. On a less extreme level body art is a form of decorating the body, and emphasizing or showing off a certain feature.
